Curious find jogs memories
I just read in the paper where a mother is suing WalMart because they wouldn't print a picture of her nude two-year-old daughter. When one comes in of that type (pornographic), they call the law. It will be interesting to see how this case comes out. They may have to dig up Solomon from the Bible to be the judge. I personally don't think a two-year-old is still a baby anymore. I think we all have pictures of our fat little darlings in their birthday clothes, probably in the bath tub.
Lindsborg is a lucky town. Not only is it unique because of its music, customs, and buildings, but now they have taken on the international chess tournament. It seems one of their professors is a Russian and knows the world's best player, a Russian, and will help make the necessary arrangements for next spring. Lindsborg had to put up some money, but think of all the publicity and the people who will be coming for the big event. I don't know if Marion has any chess players or not, but they better start practicing.
I've played lots of games, never chess. I've played bridge and other card games, checkers, solitaire, dominoes, Go Fish, and Scrabble. After bridge, maybe I'd choose Scrabble. I know of players who seem to take hours to find the right word. They wanted one that would give them lots of points, no little four-letter words. We were born to compete!
My granddaughter Gayle couldn't stand the thought of me not having a Christmas tree. The other day I came home from a medical appointment and there was a darling little tree — complete with lights and decorations. Now wasn't that sweet.
