Cynthia Huff
Cynthia (Peterson) Huff, 71, died Aug. 21, 2004, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind.
She was the daughter of Amos and Dorothy (McCullough) Peterson, now deceased. She also was a niece of Norma Hannaford.
The family lived in Marion in the late 1930s, where she attended school. Her father was assistant county engineer in Marion at the time.
The family moved to Salina where she graduated from high school. She was a graduate of Kansas State University and a member of Phi Beta Phi sorority. After graduation, she taught school in Topeka.
She married Howard Hoffman and the couple lived in South Bend, Ind. He preceded her in death.
In 1971, she married Don Huff and the couple then had five daughters between them. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, South Bend, Ind., and was a 50-year member of PEO.
Survivors include five daughters, Nancy Fisher of Indianapolis, Ind., Julie Tague of Lawton, Mich., Jane Hoffman of Arlington, Va., Jill Rakow of Enterprise, Ala., and Jean Hoffman of South Bend, Ind.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Aug. 27, 2004, at Weishamer Funeral Home.
A memorial fund was established with the American Stroke Association.
