David Brunner
David Joseph Brunner, 92, Herington, died Feb. 15, 2002, at Herington Municipal Hospital.
Born March 7, 1909, at Ramona, he was the son of the late George Henry and Eva (Beisel) Brunner.
He was a lifelong resident of the Ramona area until health failed and he moved to Lutheran Care Home in Herington.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ramona, with the Rev. Clark Davis officiating. Burial was in Lewis Cemetery.
A farmer, he was a member of the church, the American Legion post at Herington, and a 1927 graduate of Ramona High School.
He was married to Marlyss M. Brunner Sept. 20, 1946, at Wichita. She survives at Herington.
He also is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Jane and Jim Hogan of Gardner; a stepson, Charles Ryan and his wife Sharon of Salina; a sister, Johanna Kaiser of Lincolnville; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Henry, Alec, Saul, Daniel, Ben, Sam, and Joe, and four sisters, Lydia Beneke, Eva Anderson, Marie Hicks, and Amelia Brunner.
Memorials have been established at the church in Ramona and the care home in Herington.
