Dayton Unruh
Dayton Unruh, 79, died Nov. 21, 2002, at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.
Born May 8, 1923, in McPherson County, he was the son of Joel P. and Lydia (Koehn) Unruh.
He married Martha Dirks March 21, 1948, near Tampa.
He was employed by Guerdon Industries Mobile Home Manufacturing in Newton and was a member of the Church of God In Christ Mennonite.
Survivors include his wife, Martha of Lehigh; two sons and daughters-in-law, Warren and Jane Unruh of Lehigh and Quentin and Diane Unruh of rural Canton; three daughters, Wanda and Larry Koehn of rural Durham, Starla and Richard Harms of Montezuma, and Carol Ann Unruh of Lehigh; two sisters, Della Decker of Scott City and Florine Koehn of Aliceville, Ala.; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Morning Star Mennonite Church, rural Tampa, with ministers Ransom Wiebe, Merlin Wiebe, and Cyrus Wedel officiating. Burial was in Logan Cemetery, rural Tampa.
A memorial fund has been established with Morning Star Mennonite Church.
