Difficult to understand
Some things are more difficult to understand than others. Consider the following two examples:
School board members and city and county commissioners are among our best friends (and long time newspaper folk don't have many of those). Maybe after this is read, they will become even fewer.
For the past several months we've been hearing wailing about budget troubles, lack of funds, and fiscal problems. All units of government have been hit, and all have been protesting.
However, have you noticed that all units of government also have granted pay raises to employees? That's difficult to understand.
Now, let's look at another conundrum. After listening to TV news coverage of the questioning of Condoleezza Rice, the answer is at hand. The two jet airplanes that crashed into the World Trade Center were obviously piloted by George Bush and Dr. Rice.
You say that's not possible because both are here and couldn't have survived the crash. Hush, hush, consider this. The theory makes about as much sense and logic as the rest of the garbage in the political news.
Some things are difficult to understand while others are obvious.
