Dinner is Tuesday at Burdick Legion

A covered dish family dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday by the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary to celebrate the Legion's birthday. Meetings will follow the dinner.
Joyce Roever of Herington called on Wendell and Mary Dean Peterson Thursday afternoon.
Earl and Ruth Schump of Herington visited Earl and Evelyn Forsberg Thursday evening. Wade and Morgan Rickenbrode of Council Grove were Friday overnight guests of the Forsbergs. Evelyn attended the Morris County Republican Women's meeting Saturday morning at the courthouse. Saturday dinner guests were the Rickenbrode children and Savannah and Ethan Forsberg.
Forrest and Marie Anderson attended the funeral of Marvin Spilker on Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in DeWitt, Neb. He was a farmer in Pickrell, Neb., and a cousin of Marie. Marvin was working on a dump truck and the hoist slipped, causing the truck bed to fall on him.
Friday morning coffee guests of Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson were Sharon White of Herington, Cecelia Herpich of Hutchinson, Oliver Peterson, and Dan Peterson. Sunday dinner guests of the Petersons were Eric, Scott, and Josie Peterson of Lincolnville. Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Peterson were afternoon guests.
