Donald Meerian
Donald Meerian, 61, of Overbrook, died Feb. 14, 2005.
Born Feb. 4, 1944, in Angeles, he was the son of Ben Meerian and Sally Newell.
He was a Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Larry Meerian.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Meerian of Overbrook; mother and stepfather, Sally and Charles Newell of Salina; three sons, Marcus of Topeka, Matthew of Chanute, and Michael of Manhattan; a daughter, Melinda of Topeka; four sisters, Carolyn Meerian and Barbara Mokuahi, both of Wichita, Diane Mata of Salina, and Joyce Gans of New Cambria.
The rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, Overbrook.
The funeral Mass was said Friday morning at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Scranton.
Burial was in St. John Nep. Cemetery, Pilsen.
Memorial funds have been established with Overbrook Library or Overbrook American Legion.
