Donna Dannenfelser

Donna Kay Dannenfelser, 62, died July 18, 2002, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

Memorial services were held Monday morning at Marion County Lake Hall with Bob Gideon officiating.

Honorary bearers were Larry Stoelzing, Bill Whetzel, Don Blaylock, Rich Longbine, Frank Thomas, Jeff Hawes, Neal Roach, Betty Stoelzing, Lindy Whetzel, JonEllyn Blaylock Sue Longbine, Deanne Korsak, Sonja Shaffer, Barbara Hassler and Tricky Matile.

The daughter of Everett and Pearl (Hyten) Blue, she was born Aug. 25, 1939, at Wellington.

A mental health counselor, she was a member of Kansas Counseling Association and Alpha Sigma Tau sorority.

A graduate of Wellington High School, she received a bachelor's degree from Emporia State University.

On March 31, 1991, she was married to Charles Dannenfelser.

Survivors include her husband, Charles, of Marion; daughter, Jamie Eckmyre of Aiken, S.C.; stepdaughter Jill Jirak of Hillsboro; stepsons Bret Dannenfelser of Kansas City and Brian Dannenfelser of Houston, Texas; brother Ted Blue of Las Cruces, N.M.; two grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

The Donna Dannenfelser Scholarship Fund has been established in her honor.
