Donna Warner

Donna Dolores Warner, 76, rural Lincolnville, died Aug. 22, 2003, at the Lutheran Home, Herington.

She was born April 26, 1927, in Kingsdown, the daughter of Virgil and Myrtle (Schoonover) VanBuren. She grew up in the community, attended the local schools, and graduated from high school.

On April 23, 1947, she was married to Jack F. Warner. After retiring from the military, they made their home in Las Animas, Colo. He died Sept. 5, 1986. She moved to Lincolnville eight years ago to be near her son and daughter.

Surviving are two sons, Scott Warner and wife Amy, Ft. Hood, Texas, and Thomas Warner, Lincolnville; one daughter, Linda Brubaker, and husband Jim Green, Lincolnville; two half brothers, Duane and Mike VanBuren, Madera, Calif; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.

A memorial service was held at the New Life Church, Herington. The body was cremated. Inurnment will be in the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery, Las Animas, Colo.

The family of Donna Warner suggests memorial contributions in her name to the Hospice of Dickinson County.
