Douglas wedding anniversary celebrated
Merle and Emma Douglas were honored Aug. 31 with an early celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary, which will be Sept. 14.
Held at the Marion County Lake hall, the event was hosted by their children — Allen and Donna Ollek, Jim and Deb Budke, Terry and Pam Chizek, Leland and Cathy Jantzen, and James and Melinda Schroeder.
Those attending enjoyed a covered dish dinner complete with an anniversary cake. Champagne toasts were made to the couple.
