Dutch Hayen

Warren H. "Dutch" Hayen, 76, of Kokomo, Ind., died May 9, 2007, at St. Vincents Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind.

Born July 11, 1930, at Marion, he was the son of Fred and Florence (Brigham) Hayen.

He graduated from Marion High School in 1948, then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.

On Dec. 30, 1951, he married Phyllis Donelson. She died in 1997.

He retired from Delco Electronics, Kokomo, Ind., in 1992, after 33 years of service where he was a supervisor in the maintenance department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include a son, Brad Hayen of Russiaville, Ind.; daughter, Kim Wyrick of Fishers, Ind.; two brothers, Donald Hayen of Carlsbad, Calif., and Jan Hayen of Lenexa; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville, Ind., with the Rev. Harold Williams officiating.

Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens, Kokomo, Ind.

A memorial fund has been established with the American Cancer Society.
