Elma Lais
Elma Lais, 89, of Marion died July 23, 2007, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.
Born June 6, 1918, at Wilson, she was the daughter of George and Katherine (Wunder) Heintz.
On Jan. 25, 1941, she married Theodore "Ted" Lais at Garden City. He died in 1973.
She was a retired house and office cleaner and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lincolnville.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita Farr of Emporia and Ruth Kaiser of Lincolnville; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lincolnville, with the Rev. Alan Stahlecker officiating.
Burial will be in Lincolnville Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with the church or with The Lutheran Hour.
