Elvin Kolle
Elvin G. Kolle, 78, Linn, died Feb. 26, 2003, at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center. He was a retired farmer.
He was born Sept. 27, 1924, near Linn, the son of the late George and Christina (Dittmer) Kolle.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Linn and the Lutheran Layman's League. He served as president of Zone 9 of LLL.
On April 21, 1990, he married Dorothy R. Hayward at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Marion. They resided in Marion until 1994 when they returned to Linn.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; four stepsons, Brad Deines of Rome, Ga., Larry Deines of Douglas, Wyo., Steve Deines of Lawrence, and Bill Deines of Topeka; two stepdaughters, Cindy Dunning of Assaria and Paula Berg of Marion; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many cousins.
Services were held Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Linn, with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas District Lutheran Layman's League Endowment Fund.
