Erline Vahsholtz

Erline Eva Vahsholtz, 72, life-long resident of Dickinson County (Shady Brook area), died Sept. 14, 2003, at the Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.

She was born Aug. 15, 1931, north of Herington, the daughter of Walter and HeLena (Krause) Albrecht.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Herington with Pastor John Riebhoff officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, Shady Brook.

Mrs. Vahsholtz was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church; the LWML, AAL, and the Shady Brook Altar Guild; and member of the Sunny Sues FCE homemaker's unit. She graduated from Hope High School with the class of 1949.

She married Herbert K. Vahsholtz April 20, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He died April 27, 1998. She also was preceded in death by a brother Laverne Albrecht and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Rawson and husband Kent of Lindsborg and Kelli Olson and husband Ryan of Abilene; three sons, Russell Vahsholtz of Woodbine, Vonley Vahsholtz of Westminster, Colo., and Keith Vahsholtz and wife Joni of Hope; a brother LeRoy Albrecht of Woodbine; a sister Carol Florea of Quincy, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Memorials are requested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the American Red Cross.
