Eudora Christner
Eudora C. Christner, 95, died Dec. 24, 2001, at her home near Burdick.
Born Oct. 12, 1906, at Lincolnville, she was the daughter of Edson and Lottie Mae (Cope) Jewett.
She lived in the Burdick and Lincolnville areas all her life and graduated from Marion High School in 1924.
She married Melvin L. Christner Sept. 11, 1927, at Marion. A homemaker, she was a member of Burdick United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Melvin L. Christner Jr., who died in 1981 and a daughter, Madeline "Sue" Christner, who died in 1987. She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard, Sam, Edward, Melvin, and Bert; and two sisters, Mary Johnson and Madeline Baxter.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin; a daughter, Eudora "May" Hebrank of Burdick; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Donahue Funeral Home Chapel, Herington, with Pastor Lorenzo Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Lost Springs Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the New Life Church of God, Herington, or Burdick United Methodist Church.
