Not only can you come to the first Marion High School wrestling meet of the season Thursday in Marion, but you also can shop for Christmas at the forensics-sponsored book fair. After browsing has given you an appetite, take care of it at the soup supper in the high school commons area.
At 4:30 p.m. you can look at books and gifts at the book fair. "There aren't very many places in town that sell books," said Janet Killough. "It's a great place to buy Christmas presents."
There more than 350 titles. Books are available for all ages, although the selection particularly targets young adults. Children and older adults also can find a lot to choose from.
Purchase the books, take them home that day, and have them under the tree that night. The book fair runs through Dec. 11 so if you can't make it Thursday, call the high school at 382-6020 to make arrangements to visit the fair at other times.
The soup supper opens up at 5 p.m. The food will be prepared and served by FCCLA and the forensics team. A free-will donation is requested.
The wrestling meet begins at 5:30 so you will be able to shop, eat, and support the Marion grapplers all in one night!
