FCCLA chapter attends leadership academy
The Marion High School chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) attended the District G fall leadership academy Oct. 23 at Southeast of Saline.
Students who attended were LeNae Nelson, Kacey Evans, Crystal Conner, Wendy Hager, Alicia Pontious, Jimmy Shipman, Nikki Johnson, Virginia Helzer, Josh Bohanon, Ashley Billbe, Bethany Regier, Jessica Bernhardt, Tiffany Conner, and Katie Baird.
They attended workshops including dynamic leader, Cara's story, and peer education team. They also heard guest speaker Dustin Gaylon, who spoke about becoming better leaders and taking a stand on meaningful issues.
FCCLA is unique among youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members. Participation in state and national programs as well as chapter activities helps members become stronger leaders in their family, career, and communities.
