FCCLA hosts citywide book drive
Marion High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) will host a citywide book drive Nov. 20 to Dec. 5 as a community service project.
The book drive will focus on small children and donations of new or gently used books are appreciated.
Reading is one of the most important skills young students learn. As FCCLA members, students promote the skill for youth of all ages.
Chapter members, the MHS student body, school faculty and staff, as well as community members are encouraged to get involved.
New or gently used preschool-appropriate aged books may be placed in designated boxes at Marion High School, Marion City Building, Central National Bank, Tampa State Bank, Marion National Bank, Marion Post Office, or Carlsons' Grocery.
Books gathered from the drive will be donated to Marion Head Start.
Posters will be placed around town and the high school with more information.
