A representative of Kansas Rural Water Association conducted a walk-through May 21 of Lincolnville Community Center. He compiled a list of things that need to be done to complete the project and meet all specifications.

The report was given to Lincolnville City Council Monday by clerk Jane Pigorsch.

Community building chairman Greg Hubbard was not present at the meeting, but Pigorsch said she was instructed by him not to send out rental contracts until the building has been turned over to the city by the state.

After paying community building bills totaling $1,319.86 and fees to the architect and grant administrator, a balance of $391 of grant money remains available, an acceptable cushion for unexpected expenditures, according to Mayor Scott Gutsch.

The council voted to accept the wax and buff job on the floor in the community building. A special chemical application will be made to the floor before appliances can be installed.

Deadline for completion of the project is July 14.

Donations are being sought toward purchase of tables and chairs and other furnishings. The council is planning to purchase 25 tables and 200 chairs in the next two weeks.

Justine Jennings and Lori Moldenhauer, representatives of the Tampa Leo Club, presented the mayor with a $125 check for the center.
