Florence residence hit again for meth production
Shortly after noon on Tuesday, members of the Florence Police Department, the Peabody Police Department, and the Marion County Sheriff's office busted a meth lab at 101 West 4th St. in Florence.
Tuesday's bust was the second in three months at that address. It was also the second time that professional teams from KDHE were called in to remove waste and clean up the property.
Urinalysis performed on an individual at the residence resulted in a positive reading for methamphetamines. The individual was arrested and taken to the Marion County jail.
The Florence Fire Department and EMS provided back up assistance to the officers who entered the home and assessed the contamination before the KDHE arrived.
Florence Police Chief Creighton Smith said he expects charges to be filed in the case.
