Florian Krotz
Florian Krotz, 72, Hillsboro, died May 31, 2002, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
The son of Frank and Petrona (Rudolph) Krotz, he was born May 29, 1930, near Durham.
He was a machinist at Beech Aircraft Co.
On July 22, 1948, he was married to Nina Hornbaker at Cottonwood Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by sons Charles and Stephen Krotz.
Survivors include his wife, Nina of Hillsboro; sons, Greg of Newton and Mark of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Kathy Carr of Hillsboro; brothers, Edward of Kansas City and Thomas of Newton; sisters, Margie Stegeman of Overland Park, Delores Griffin of San Diego, Calif., and Mary Jane Tajchman of Marion; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish of the Catholic Church. Services were held Tuesday morning at the Pilsen church with Father Steve Gronert officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
The rosary was recited Monday evening at the church with Father Ken Schuckman leading.
A memorial fund has been established with the parish.
