Frances Liptau
Frances Maryland Liptau, 76, of Hillsboro, died Aug. 21, 2006, at Via Christi-St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
Born June 8, 1930, at Tahlequah, Okla., she was the daughter of William and Iva Mae (Nelson) Harris.
In 1948, she married Clifford Parks at Stillwater, Okla.
In 1979, she married Herb Liptau, at Marion.
She was a member of Florence Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Clifford Parks Jr., of Hillsboro; three daughters, Iva Britton of Florence, Mary Enns of Walker, Mo., and Frances Chesterfield of McPherson; four brothers, William Harris of Pawhuska, Okla., Robert Harris of Salina, Virgil Harris of Kaline, Texas, and Jim Harris of Florence; three sisters, Rose Mary Ritter of Medicine Lodge, and Juanita Kerns and Jeanita Hover, both of Stillwater, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held this morning (Wednesday) at Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, with Pastor Peter Banning officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with the American Lung Association.
