Francis Hajek

Francis Albert Hajek, 56, died May 21, 2003, at his home at Lost Springs.

He was born March 15, 1947, at Marion, the son of Albert and Mildred (Bina) Hajek.

Hajek attended Lost Springs Grade School, was a farmer for most of his life, as well as a member of the Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church at Pilsen, and the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Hajek, in 1985.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Hajek of Lost Springs; four brothers, Paul, Ron, and Gary of Lost Springs and Jerome of Marion; one sister Irene Waylan of Miami, Okla., and several nieces and nephews.

The rosary was recited Friday evening at Pilsen, led by Fr. Steve Gronert.

Mass was offered Saturday morning at St. John Nepomucene Church, Pilsen.

Music was provided by the church choir, Jeff Bina, and Charlene Svitak.

Casket bearers were Byron and Daryl Waylan, and Jason, Brad, Brett, Darrin, and Trent Hajek. Honorary bearers were Chris Helmer, Dennis Kerschen, Jarrod Truman, and Jon McLean. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with the Lost Springs Volunteer Fire Department and the elevator fund at the Pilsen church.
