Fred Brening
Fred Brening, 85, Burns, died Jan. 15, 2003, at his home in Burns.
Fred, a farmer, was a lifelong resident of Burns and well known in the community. He was born June 1, 1917, son of William and Dorothea (Koble) Brening. He was raised and attended school at Burns.
Fred was a member of the Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish of Marion County. He never married but is survived by a sister Marie Britzman of Greendale, Wis., a niece and nephew, and other relatives.
A memorial service was held Tuesday morning at St. Patrick Church, Holy Family Parish, Florence, with Fr. Steve Gronert officiating.
Scott Zogleman was the musician. Inurnment was at the Burns Cemetery following the service.
