Gary Klose to retire from police department
Long time, well known, and highly regarded Marion Police Department sergeant Garry Klose has announced his retirement.
A public reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 29 at Marion City Hall in recognition of his 24 years of service..
Refreshments will be served. The public is invited to drop by to visit with Klose and wish him well in retirement.
Prior to becoming a police officer, Klose was in the United States Air Force. He grew up in the Marion community, the son of the late Henry and Lenora Klose, and is a 1967 graduate of Marion High School.
