Gloria Ann Fruechting
Gloria Ann Fruechting, 72, died June 19, 2008.
Born Sept. 16, 1935, at Alva, Okla., she was the daughter of Russell William Vail and Ruth Elizabeth Novinger Vail Behnke.
On May 27, 1956, she married Duane Fruechting at Plains, where the couple made their home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; parents; and stepfather, LaVerne Behnke.
Survivors include three children, Vail and Pam Fruechting of Wichita, Ann and Jack Metzger of Berryton, and Julee and Gary Schmidt of Lynden, Wash.; brother, Russell Vail of White Lake, Mich.; sister, Joyce Knott of Plains; stepbrother, Don Behnke of Bedford, Texas; stepsister, Karen Behnke of Oxnard, Calif; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted June 23 at Plains United Methodist Church with burial in Plains Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
