Goering, Stubenhofer named students of the month
Amy Goering, a junior, and Tyler Stubenhofer, a senior, have been named Students of the Month for September at Marion High School.
Amy's parents are Charles and Annora Goering. She has three brothers, David, Joseph, and John, and three sisters, Annie Klassen, Ruby Kruse, and Kathleen Goering.
During her MHS years, she's been involved in volleyball, band, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, and choir, and has served as a basketball manager.
She also drew the artwork for August, June, and July, for the Marion-Florence USD 408 school year calendars for 2003-2004.
Tyler is the son of Missy and Steve May. He's been involved in football all four years at the high school, in basketball three years so far, track three years, National Honor Society three years, Student Council two years, power lifting three years, Scholars' Bowl the past three years including the current one, band all four years, and creative writing this year.
His community involvements include serving as spiritual chairman (Prayer leader) at CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) and serving as a Biddy Basketball coach and volunteer.
He's a member of Holy Family Parish of Marion.
