Griffith leads CJHS to victory

Centre Junior High football team captured its second win of the season Thursday at Marquette. The Cougars defeated Marquette 56-20.

Phillip Griffith was the star of the game, scoring all eight touchdowns on runs. He was leading rusher with 17 carries for 285 yards.

Ben Krause was credited with 40 yards in the air, completing five of seven passes. Zach Slayden was leading receiver, with three receptions for 21 yards.

Heath Shields led defensively, with four solo and five assisted tackles.
