Harvey Schlesener
Harvey E. Schlesener, 86, of rural Herington, died March 7, 2003, at the Lutheran Care Home, Herington. Born June 3, 1916, at Shady Brook, he was the son of Charles W. and Clara B. Schlesener.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shady Brook, north of Herington, with Pastor John Riebhoff officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Schlesener was a farmer in the Shady Brook area where he lived all of his life. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed.
He married Rosetta M. Lawrenz June 18, 1942, in Latimer. She survives at Herington. He also is survived by two sons, Lyle Schlesener of Port Orange, Fla., and Jerry Schlesener of Herington, and a sister Ida Schlesener of Herington.
He was preceded in death by a sister Lillian Schlesener; two brothers, Ralph Schlesener and Elmer Schlesener, and his parents.
The family suggests memorials to the church or the Lutheran Home, Herington.
