Trinity Lutheran Fellowship Club met Sunday evening in the Trinity parish hall. Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, Mervin and Leona Deines, Loren and Orvell Brunner, Erich Utech, and Treva Schneider attended and played cards.
John Reznicek of Marion and Bob Makovec helped Bob Reznicek with field work during the week. They were supper guests of Irma and Bob during that time. Bob and Irma visited Bob and Carol Makovec Sunday night.
Connie Jenkins took care of her grandson, Ian Jenkins, on Tuesday. Ian's dad Michael Jenkins of Hillsboro picked him up and they were supper guests of Larry, Connie, Oaklan, and Tia.
Becky Lehnerr and Gerard of Plymouth visited her mother, Patricia Zinn, over the weekend.
They have started to dig for the sewer line in Lost Springs. The septic pool will be east of the town.
I talked to my son Clark Sunday afternoon while he was in Andover. He told me there was a lot of ice that broke light poles and lines as he was doing construction work in Concordia last week. They were out of electricity for two days. Gibbs Construction Company has a generator so they were able to work on the assisting living units. There was no snow.
Irma Reznicek accompanied Bob and Carol Makovec to Herington Monday to attend the funeral of Bob Tousignant.
Larry Rudolph fed my cattle Sunday evening and ate supper with me.
Reign and Marlene Anduss of Peabody visited Don and Norma Bird last week.
Jakob and Jorge Hanschu of Hillsboro spent from Friday afternoon to Saturday night with their grandparents Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu and their great-grandparents Fred and Marguerite Utech.
After services at Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon there was a benefit hamburger fry for Clinton Hanschu, who has been undergoing dialysis for the past two years. Those present included Clinton of Salina, his wife Frances, their son Randy Hanschu and wife Jo of Kansas City, Mike and Sharyn Mueller of Olathe, and about 40 others.
Ramona Senior Center will have a hunter's feed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9. Chili, chicken noodle soup, desserts, bierrocks, coffee, and tea will be served.
Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu attended the celebration of Rick Hanschu's 50th birthday Saturday night at the Trinity parish hall.
Gregory Stenzel, his daughter Nikki, Becky Jackson, and Betty Stenzel drove to Salina Saturday and ate at a Chinese restaurant. Gregory, Nikki, and Betty attended the benefit for Clinton Hanschu Sunday afternoon.
The Ramona fire department will be serving pancakes, sausage, and juice from 5 to 9 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Ramona Senior Center. Funds will be used to update equipment.
