Herbert Weber
Herbert M. Weber, 90, died Feb. 6, 2002, at Herington Municipal Hospital.
Born Nov. 6, 1911, at Herington, he was the son of Martin F. and Martha A. (Knuth) Weber.
He was a farmer and lifetime resident of the Herington area. A member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, he served on numerous church boards.
On April 9, 1939, he married Mathilda A. "Tillie" Niehoff at Lockwood, Mo. She preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 2000.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leroy; six sisters, Alice Fick, Leona Kickhaefer, Erna Riffel, Hilda Laman, and Helen and Nola Weber, both of whom died in childhood.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Scheer of Sun City, Calif.; two sons, Allen of Grand Junction, Colo., and Leroy of Rose Hill; sister, Evelyn Kurth of Alma, Mo.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington with the Rev. K.C. Dehning officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
