Hertka Zieman
Hertka Wyss Zieman, 99, of El Dorado, died Jan. 6, 2002, at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater. Memorial services were held Wednesday afternoon at Grace Lutheran Church. Private interment in Ebenezer Cemetery, Burns, preceded the memorial.
Born Aug. 5, 1902, at Eddelak, Germany, she was the daughter of Richard and Katherine Dunham. She came to the United States when she was 21 years old. She was a homemaker and worked in Central Supply at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She was married to Ernest Wyss. He preceded her in death. She later married Vernon Zieman. He also preceded her in death.
Survivors are a son, Arthur E. Wyss Sr., Wichita; daughter, Pat Phillips, El Dorado; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Hellmuth Witt; one son, Charles; one daughter, Lillian; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
A memorial fund has been established at the church.
