Hett, Hett, Carlson in top five at Hillsboro golf tournament
Behind the clubs and irons of their top three golfers, the Marion High School golf team brought home two of three team titles from the Hillsboro Invitational Golf Tournament held Thursday at Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course.
The Warriors grabbed the six-man and four-man titles by defeating Bennington with a score of 494-508 (in six-man) and 321-349 (four-man). Bennington claimed the two-man competition narrowly edging out St. John's Military 159-162. Marion finished third with a score of 173.
Senior Nickolas Hett finished five strokes behind Blake Walker of Salina St. John's, who finished shooting a 72. Hett's younger brother, freshman Travis Hett, finished fourth after shooting a 78, while teammate, junior Nick Carlson, finished fifth after shooting a 78 as well.
