Hillsboro Police Department: Counterfeit bill passed at Hillsboro business
Hillsboro Police Department is investigating a case regarding a counterfeit $10 bill that was passed June 6 at a Hillsboro business.
June 4: Assistance was provided on a domestic disturbance call. A building was searched for a possible break-in. Marion County Sheriff Department received assistance with a report of a possible stolen vehicle.
June 5: A lost or stolen vehicle tag was reported. A dog complaint was filed at D and Main streets. Drug Enforcement Administration assisted local officials with an investigation of possession of a controlled substance. Pat Dowson, 711 W. Grand, Hillsboro, reported someone removed 33 music discs from her residence sometime between April 1 and June 3; the loss was valued at $650.
June 6: SRS received assistance with an investigation. A motorist received assistance at Ash and Grand streets. A sheriff's deputy received assistance with an intrusion complaint at Marion Reservoir. A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of West Grand Street.
June 7: A welfare check was conducted in the 300 block of South Date Street. A suspicious person was checked on North Ash Street. A complaint about a dog was filed in the 300 block of North Birch Street.
Thursday: A court services officer received assistance. A subject was fingerprinted for employment. A motorist received assistance on U.S.-56. A traffic complaint was made in the 300 block of West D Street. Hesston Police Department received assistance with an accident investigation. A traffic complaint was made at D and Floral streets.
Friday: A subject was fingerprinted for employment. EMS received assistance on a call in the 400 block of South Main Street. Camper hook-ups were unlocked. A physical altercation was reported between players at a basketball tournament at Tabor College. A child custody dispute was investigated in the 500 block of West B Street. Assistance was provided to a sheriff's deputy regarding a physical altercation between several adults.
Saturday: A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street. Hitch- hikers were checked on U.S.-56. An activated commercial alarm in the 200 block of North Main Street was checked. A sheriff's deputy received assistance with a domestic disturbance call. A dog complaint was filed in the 100 block of South Birch Street. The sheriff's department assisted Hillsboro Police Department with a search for a suspect in Hillsboro who was wanted on drug possession charges; the suspect fled on foot when he was alerted that law enforcement was notified.
Intruder found
on family's couch
At 6 a.m. April 30, Mark Pagenkopf, 2421 310th, Lost Springs, found a man sleeping on the couch at his residence. None of the residents knew the individual. The family exited the house and waited until Marion County Sheriff's deputies arrived to escort the individual from the house.
Sometime between Jan. 1 and May 11, someone entered property at Jade and 120th and removed 12-18 round bales of prairie hay. The hay was owned by Randal M. Eitzen, 1224 100th, Peabody, and was valued at $720.
An individual was approached by a suspect at 9:55 p.m. May 29, at Casey's General Store, 1024 E. Main, Marion. The two people exchanged words and then the first individual slapped the victim, pulled the victim's hair, and pulled her to the ground.
A suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct at 7:50 p.m. May 31 at Coble and Welch streets, Marion.
