Homer Oblander
Homer Oblander, 84, of Beaverton, Ore., died Oct. 4, 2007.
He was born May 5, 1923, at Marion, and graduated from Marion High School.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
In 1947, he married Agnes Evers.
He was a banker in the Beaverton, Ore., area from 1946 until his retirement in 1985.
He was preceded in death by a son, Merle.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes; two sons, Donald Oblander and Patrick Oblander; daughter, Mary Murray; two sisters, Carol Hett and Darlene Hiebert; two brothers, Jacob Oblander and Durward Oblander; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Beaverton, Ore.
A memorial fund has been established with St. Cecilia's Adopt A Student Fund.
