Jack N. Hayes

Jack N. Hayes, 66, died at his home near Lincolnville Aug. 17, 2003.

A truck driver, he served in the Navy from 1955 to 1959. He enjoyed stock car racing and working with older automobiles.

Born Aug. 2, 1937, at Wichita, he was the son of the late Elmer James and Capitola (Jones) Hayes.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Jerald.

Survivors include his spouse, Lois, of the home; three sons, John D. Hayes and wife Michelle of Lead Hill, Ark., Fredrick Hayes, Lincolnville, and Anthony Hayes, Hutchinson; four daughters, Jackie Hayes of Reese, Kelly and husband Mark Bouray of McPherson, Sherry and husband Jerry Pankratz of Lincolnville, and Bonnie and husband David Hastings of Oklahoma; six brothers, John Hayes and wife Mary of Antelope, Jean Hayes and wife Robin of Arkansas, Joel Hayes and wife Alice of Florence, Walt Hayes and wife Jeanetta of Wichita, Vernon Hayes of Coldwater, and Allen Hayes of Florence; three sisters, Jane Hook, Wichita, June Haskins, Marion, and Reba and husband Chris Flower of Winfield; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Florence Christian Church. Pastor Harold Brown will officiate.

The body was cremated.

A memorial fund has been established at the Veterans Administration Regional Hospital, Wichita.
