James C. Middleton

James C. Middleton, 59, of Herington, died July 2, 2005, at Salina Regional Health Center.

Born July 15, 1945, in LaCrosse, he was raised by his adoptive parents, Lowell A. and Alice C. (Langhofer) Middleton.

He graduated from Herington High School in 1964, and was with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

On June 4, 1971, he married Criss Girton at Herington.

He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad at Herington and was a member of Woodbine United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Middleton in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Criss of Herington; son, Todd of Salina; two daughters, Tina Lauxman and Kristina Middleton, both of Herington; sister, Gloria Hill of Salina; father, Lowell Middleton of Herington; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Woodbine United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marilyn Cox officiating.

Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorials have been established with the church or for family assistance.
