James Voss
James E. Voss, 96, died Aug. 24, 2003, at Bent County Memorial Nursing Home, Las Animas, Colo.
Born at Madison, Neb., he became a jockey, then a cowboy on a Kansas ranch where he met his future wife, Fern.
They moved to Colorado where he worked on ranches, managed a trailer court, worked for Safeway, and operated his own yard service prior to retirement.
He was the last survivor in his family of four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
His ashes will be placed in the family plot beside his wife, Fern, and baby, Norma Jean, in Grant Township Cemetery near Youngton.
