Jami and Chad Miller
Jami Scharenberg and Chad Miller, both of Wichita, were married April 27, 2002, in a double ring ceremony at First United Methodist Church, Wichita. The Rev. Alan Lindell officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Dennis and Phyllis Scharenberg of Hillsboro. Ed and Sharon Miller of Wichita are parents of the groom.
Musicians were Brett Valliant, organist, Mark Hall, vocalist, and Bonnie Quick, violinist. All are from Wichita.
Candlelighters were the bride's cousin Erica Prather of Wichita and the groom's niece Leslie Steventon of Florida.
The bride wore a sleeveless white satin gown fashioned with a bodice trimmed with sequins and beads, a Queen Anne neckline, and a basque waist. The full-length skirt featured a scalloped hem that flowed into a cathedral-length train trimmed with sequins and beads. Her fingertip veil fell from a tiara of white pearls. The bridal bouquet was a cascading arrangement of white roses.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister-in-law Rochelle Scharenberg of Newton. Bridesmaids were Dana Scharenberg of Wichita, also a sister-in-law of the bride, and Joelsette Seal of Peck, cousin of the bride.
Paul Bradley of Wichita served the groom as best man. Groomsman was Eddy Mynatt of Wichita.
Guests were seated by the bride's brothers Nick Scharenberg of Wichita and Tim Scharenberg of Newton, the groom's nephew Andy Faber and Victor Baker, both of Wichita.
Flower girl was Krystal Miller of Wichita, sister of the groom. Ring bearer was the bride's cousin Caleb Seal of Peck.
The guest book attendant was the groom's sister Angela Muench of Wichita. Gift bearers were Lisa Torrez of Burlington, sister of the bride, and Andrea Smith of Wichita, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held in the church following the ceremony. Hosts were Jerry and Micki Siebert of Cedar Point, uncle and aunt of the bride; Mark and Paula Hall of Wichita; and Troy and Kathy Hampton of Wichita.
Reception attendants were Faith Beckloff of Wichita, cousin of the bride, Paula Cornelson, sister of the groom, and Anna Mosher.
The bride graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Tabor College. She is employed as a teller by Wichita Municipal Federal Credit Union.
The groom graduated from Wichita West High School and Wichita Area Technical College, majoring in small engines and horticulture. He is employed by the City of Wichita in the flood control department.
After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple is at home in Wichita.
