The Marion High School junior class didn't quite reach the fundraising goal for magazine sales. They are, however, pleased with the $3,910 they did raise for the junior-senior prom. Thirty-three members of the class met or exceeded the individual goal of $70 profit.
Class sponsor Bruce Rhodes kept track of how many magazines each student sold. Top sellers were Jordan Trapp, first; Karson Craig, second; and Emma Parli, third.
Fundraising efforts continued Saturday at Art in the Park. The class sold pies at the food court. Members of the junior class donated pies and by 3 p.m. Saturday they were sold out. After expenses, pie sales totaled $400, which will be added to the prom fund.
