Junior wrestlers advance to state
Three Marion junior wrestlers will advance to state competition this weekend at Topeka after earning the right Saturday at the District 3 meet at Beloit.
Colton Jeffrey, Zac Lewman, and Evan Slater will travel this weekend to Topeka for the state tournament.
Jeffrey was first in the eight-and-under 43-pound division. Slater placed second in the eight-and-under 88-pound division. Lewman was fourth in the 80-pound division.
Other finishers were Morgan Hiebert, six-and-under, 52-pounds, fourth.
Tyler Wildin, eight-and-under, 70-pound, sixth.
Kyle Palic, eight-and-under, 76-pound, sixth.
Andy Shipman, 10-and-under, 82-pound, sixth.
Dillon Wildin, 12-and-under, 96-pound, sixth.
Mattie Hiebert and Gavin Moore also competed.
