Kelley Schafers nominated for honor
Kelley Schafers of Marion recently was nominated and named a semi-finalist as a distinguished classroom teacher of the year for pre-kindergarten through second grade.
She also was nominated for "Who's Who Among America's Teachers," which honors a select five percent of America's teachers.
Schafers is a pre-kindergarten teacher at Adams Elementary School in the Wichita school district. She has taught there for five years.
