Kelseys celebrate anniversary
Forrest and Bea Kelsey of Marion and Keith and Clara Kelsey of Prescott, Ariz., spent from Dec. 11 to 19 in Hawaii for an early celebration of Forrest and Bea's 25th wedding anniversary, which will be Jan. 3.
The two couples were guests at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Palace Hotel in Kona.
Highlights of their visit included morning buffet breakfasts, beautiful scenery, interesting animals and birds, and visits to a number of shops and different areas.
Driving up the east coast to Hawi, they visited the original statue of King Kamahema, first king of the island. That evening they enjoyed a luau with traditional Hawaiian foods and the singing and dancing of native dances and songs.
All attended church services Sunday morning in the wedding chapel. They then returned to Hawi to visit John and Mary Robel, friends of Keith and Clara.
On Monday, they toured the entire island by tour bus and enjoyed viewing the interesting and beautiful scenery, birds, and animals.
They spent Tuesday at the White Sands Beach in Hapuna State Park, playing barefoot in the surf.
The two couples returned to the mainland on Thursday, Dec. 19, and report they have beautiful memories to cherish for a lifetime.
