Kenneth Meikle
Kenneth A. Meikle, 86, of Marion, died May 16, 2006.
Born Aug. 23, 1919, at Conway Springs, he was the son of Alfred and Pearl (DeArmond) Meikle.
He graduated from Conway Springs High School then joined the U.S. Army Air Force and was an airplane mechanic for the 15th Army Air Force P-47 Thunderbolt Group during World War II.
On June 4, 1947, he married Edna Miller at Wichita. The couple lived in Plainview, Wichita, and Derby before moving to Marion Reservoir in 1989.
He was a self-employed carpenter, specializing in cabinetry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; and two sisters, Loretta Hune and Juanita Coffey.
Survivors include his wife, Edna of Marion; two sons, Donald of New Caney, Texas, and Keith of Wichita; daughter, Marcia Jennings of Wichita; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
There were no funeral services and his body was cremated.
