Kenneth Weber
Kenneth E. Weber, 57, of Grand Island, Neb., died March 2, 2004, at Bryan Hospital, Lincoln, Neb.
Born Nov. 8, 1946, at Wichita, he was the son of Albert and Ruth (Cochenour) Weber.
He was a 1964 graduate of Hope High School and served with the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He graduated from officers' candidate school and served as a captain with the U.S. Army Reserves in Herington and Salina.
On April 12, 1974, he married Rebecca Manchester at Miami, Okla.
He was a member of the American Legion and VFW of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Christopher Weber of Lincoln, Neb., and 1st Sgt. Tom Weber of Burlington, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with the Rev. Alix Pridgen officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery with full military honors by a special funeral detail from Fort Riley.
Memorial funds have been established with the American Heart Association or Grand Island Humane Society.
