Knak resigns as EMS director
JoAnn Knak, director of Emergency Medical Services for Marion County for 22 years, on Monday submitted her resignation to the Marion County Commission.
It will be effective on Dec. 20, she said. She added that she has been in the EMS profession for 30 years.
Commissioners accepted her resignation "with extreme regret," all three said.
She conferred with commissioners about her upcoming resignation in a five-minute closed session, and then the resignation was announced in open session.
