Koop, Kraus vows exchanged
Stephanie Koop, daughter of Larry and Teresa Goodwin of Burns, and Nicholas Kraus, son of Don and Vickie Kraus of Marion, were married March 22, 2003, in the First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.
Pastor Elmer Reimer performed the double ring ceremony.
Musical selections were provided by pianists, Rose Davidson, Sarah, and Rachel.
Candles were lighted preceding the ceremony by Carolyn Weber and Carrie Herzet.
The bride wore a satin spaghetti strap gown featuring beaded sequences hand sewn on the neckline and waist and a chiffon overlay on the skirt.
Heather Prickett attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amber Moore and the groom's sister-in-law Tina Kraus.
Serving the groom as best man was his brother, Brendan Kraus. Groomsmen were Josh McMannis and the groom's brother-in-law Chris Mercer.
Guests were seated by Aaron Beaton, Carl Wettstein, and the bride's brother Dusty Koop.
Megan and Tori Schmidt, cousins of the bride, were the guest book and program attendants.
Gift carriers were the bride's brother Zachary Goodwin and her cousin Ethan Goodwin.
Cake and punch were served in the church's fellowship hall following the ceremony. Guests then traveled to the Pilsen Community Center for a buffet dinner and dance.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Marion High School and a 2003 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education.
The groom also is a 1998 graduate of Marion High School and a 2003 graduate of Kansas State University with a dual bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics and animal science.
The couple reside in rural Marion.
