Kruse, Garcia are married

Pamela Kruse and Michael Garcia of Newton were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Nov. 6, 2004, at First Mennonite Church in Newton. The Rev. Clarence Rempel officiated during the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Dwight and Jerrie Kruse of Marion. Parents of the groom are Gerald and Estella (Garcia) Perry of Tucson, Ariz.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an off-white satin gown. Her cathedral-length train featured sequins and pearls. She carried a bouquet of off-white roses with smaller purple roses and greenery.

Anna Dragoo of Emporia was the maid of honor. Denny Brown of Emporia was the bridesmaid. Lexie Kruse of Marion was the junior bride.

Victor Garcia of Newton was the best man. Emilo Garcia of Newton was the groomsman.

Ashlyn Romero of Wichita served as flower girl. Trevor Kruse of Marion was the ring bearer.

Organist and pianist was Donna Stucky of Newton. Vocalists were soloist Mario Garcia of Newton and a duet composed of Mark and Sara Meisinger of Marion. A special part of the ceremony included the vocal trio of Marcello Garcia of Newton, and Yolanda and Tony Garcia of California, uncle and grandparents of the couple.

Candlelighters were Jasmin and Marina Avila of Newton.

Serving as ushers were Alan Kruse and Jason Kruse, both of Marion, Tom Foth and Angel Garcia, both of Newton.

Rory Butler and Jill Schmidt, both of Kansas City, were guest book attendants. Sophia Mutharaj of Manhattan and Meleha Ewy of Wichita were in charge of gifts.

A reception was held in fellowship hall of the First Mennonite Church. Reception hosts were Gus and Penny Dorado of Newton.

Margo Wiens of Halstead was the wedding coordinator.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Branson, Mo.

The bride is a graduate of Marion High School and Flint Hills Technical College. She is employed by Prairie View in Newton.

The groom is a graduate of Newton High School. He is employed by Horizon Milling-Cargill of Newton.
