L. Tajchman, M. Johnson are wed in Oct. 15 ceremony years ago

Laurie Tajchman and Michael Johnson of Linn Valley were married at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Our Lady of Lourdes, LaCygne.

The bride is the daughter of Paul A. and Mary Jane Tajchman of Marion. The groom is the son of Warren and Kay Johnson of Independence, Mo.

Father Joseph Cramer officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Linda Kice of LaCygne was organist.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a white A-line wedding gown with a V-neck lined with pearls and illusion short sleeves. The bodice of the gown was embellished with European lace and featured a detachable cathedral-length train with cutouts on both the skirt and train.

She carried a dozen hand-tied circus roses with cinnamon-colored ribbons.

Amy Olsen of Kansas City, Mo., was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stepheny Ambrose of Topeka and Sheryl Bohm of Derby.

They wore indigo dresses of chiffon over satin with an empire waist bodice with satin band and bow and an A-line floor-length skirt. Each carried six hand-tied circus roses with cinnamon-colored ribbons.

Rachel and Kristine Bohm of Derby were flower girls.

Kent Rinne of Canton, Ga., served as best man. Groomsmen were John Terrell of Raymore, Mo., and Nathan Johnson of Blue Springs, Mo.

Ushers and readers were Darrel Tajchman of Overland Park and Bradley Bohm of Derby.

Jana Myers of Blue Springs, Mo., was the guest book attendant.

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom hosted a reception at the Crystal Shed, LaCygne.

The bride is a graduate of Emporia State University and is employed with Medquist Inc., as an interface developer.

Her husband attended DeVry Institute and is the assistant manager at Burger King.

Following a honeymoon in Orlando, Fla., the couple lives in Linn Valley.
