Lady Cougars lose two at Solomon
Centre High School volleyball team racked up two more losses Sept. 16 at Solomon to bring their record to four wins, six losses.
In the match with Solomon, the team lost in two games with scores of 11-15 and 20-25, respectively.
Jill Fenske was leading scorer in game one with five points. She also had two aces and completed 13 of 15 spike attempts for the match. In game two, Jackie Klenda compiled six points.
The Lady Cougars lost another set of games to Bennington in the second match, losing 10-25 and 12-25. They had a difficult time scoring earned points, with only two in the first game and four in the second.
Laura Klenda had 18 successful spikes and Megan Gutsch had 14. Brianne Stahlecker and Raschelle Jirak were outstanding in setting the ball.

The junior varsity played a match with Solomon. They won the first game by 25-22 and lost the next two, 21-15 and 7-15.
Scorers in the first game included Alyssa Luna, five, and Ashley Griffith, three. Centre garnered 14 rally points.
In the second game, Selena Seifert scored four points, Tiaira Turner two, and Chelsey Tajchman two. The team received 12 rally points.
Griffith and Seifert each earned one point in the third game. Five rally points were added.
